Immigration.

The PAP wants to increase Singapore's population to 6.5 million - 4.484 million at June 2006.
Due to Singaporeans unwillingness to have babies due to mostly money problems, the government turned to importing foreigners to artificially increase the population.

According to the statistics released by the government, the population was raised to 5mil as of Jun 2009.

And as of now, foreigners makes up 36% of our population, not counting previous PRs turned singaporeans - making Singaporeans roughly 3.2 million, due to PAP lax immigration policy, which is a result of little to no opposition resistance in the parliament, and them being unable to have any impact on the policies drafted, as there are only 2/84 oppositions in the parliament - far from enough to keep the PAP in check. According to the ministry of home affairs, 2/3 PR applications are approved.

Recently, our dear MM LKY announced that the importation of foreigners will be reduced in 5 years, however at the rate we're growing, i believe we will reach PAP's target of 6.5million populations, making Singapore born ( and bred ) to a measly 50%, or maybe even less.

If you think that you don't mind Singapore being a foreigner majority country, read this article.

Summary of the possible impact on Singapore.
- Higher cost of living.
- More public disorder, protesting outside MOE, disrupting public transport for 5hours+ etc.
- More competitions for work, depressing Singaporean's wages.
- More expensive "public" housing.

with all these, the problem of Singaporean's unwillingness to have babies due to monetary factor will be compounded, making Singapore foreigner:local ratio even more undesirable, resulting in a vicious cycle. Perhaps in 20 years, we will become a foreigner on our motherland and our males have to do NS to protect these "new citizens" and we will become a colony of China, where most of our foreigners hail from. Thus, make the right choice, DO NOT spoil your votes for vote for the PAP. vote for opposition to keep PAP in check, or else it will be like the last 2006 general election, 2% rise in GST and pay rise for the ministers.
